London's best located ½ star hotel. Some rooms are being repainted so that's nice. But I saw three rooms in my 2 weeks there (it was cheap). only every other light will work, central heating is always on and the windows are weird 7 foot frame things that lean in from the top may or may not work or could be screwed shut and of course curtains that are a for away from the window so good luck with a sleep in. . Shower hoses are optional to fit to the wall. for your sanity don't look in the kettle or the shower trap (hint: similar) they guys at reception are very nice no complaints there.

Stayed with my girlfriend for a few days, the staff was friendly and proactive, they helped with any question. The cleaning ladies were friendly too. Everything about the room was good, everything is clean and comfortable, we will definitely come here again, because the transport interchange at this hotel is just wow, the area is quiet and there are supermarkets nearby.

The room was awful, dirty: 1) random French fries not cleaned from a previous guest 2) stale smoke smell 3) dusty floor 4) mold on the bathroom curtain 5) the bathroom walls / fixtures were dirty and very old, light was not working 6) all furnishings and fixtures are very worn 7) the extractor fan looked like it had grown fur and stopped working 8) the dirty window revealed a view of a bunch of junk from the hotel I would give it a ???? rating. Feel pretty disappointed.

What can you say about the Belgrave Hotel? Let’s start with the outside. It looks like some apartment block. I walked past the same man fiddling with a bike chained to the railings outside three times in 30 mins. Reception is stark, looks very run down. It has a bottle of hand sanitiser on the counter but it doesn’t work - more about that later. Climbed some stairs to the first floor room (the elevator/lift) was not working. The ‘carpet’ on the stairs is threadbare with splits on the edges of some of the steps. The room is one where you need to slot your room key (which has the room number on it - so don’t dare lose it) into a power thing on the wall. Mine took 5 minutes to register before I could turn on the lights. Room is run down. The bedroom needs some TLC but the bathroom needs gutting. The toilet seat was almost off the toilet. Managed to ‘fix’ it back on. The shower, window blinds and surrounds have mould everywhere. Mirror is old with the backing of the mirror peeling away. The tap/faucet on the sink isn’t fixed. Just not nice (for the apparent 3 stars). Went back down to reception and told the receptionist about the toilet seat, hence me trying to use the sanitiser to no avail. If you’re desperate for a room then go for it. For £130 a night though you’d be better staying a mile further away in a hotel that feels clean. Avoid if you can.

Just back from a weekend stay here, first I was messaged days before was due to stay that the family room that I booked months was ago was unavailable due to broken toilet, so I asked for a double n a twin room as I had my 21 year old son n 16 year old daughter with me and said yes they had them rooms available only to arrive on Friday n be told they only had 2 double rooms available had no choice but to take them at that stage. Went upstairs to room carpets on stairs torn. Very strong and overwhelming smell of airfresher which didn't smell good at all. Got to room I was staying in with a 7 year old window didn't close. Very bad stains on carpet. Only one light working over the bed. Room could have been cleaner. No cups or spoons for tea in room n when my daughter went and ask for cups, the man behind reception didn't know what she was asking for even when she asked for tea cups. No breakfast served either even though it stated that there's breakfast served. Only positive thing is bed was quite comfy had good nights sleep 2 nights I was there
